You met a man makes you weak in the knees just talking to him. People have various ideas of what they think love is. Some people are not actually in love, but more in lust. love and lust can be a little tricky to understand, since even though they are two different ideas, most people use them interchangebly.

Lust is a strong feeling of physical attraction towards a person. Defined by its sexual nature, lust is mostly made up of sexual chemistry rather than having genuinely caring feeling towards someone. What differentiates lust from love is that lust is purely about physical attraction and only acting on that.

Although being physically attracted is important, there is more to love than just being sexually attracted. When you fall in love, its like having someone who you are not only attracted to sexually, but someone who is also your best friend. Love is sharing a part of who you are and having someone sharing a part of themselves back with you. Love is an awesome feeling and it should make you want to be better as a person.

With those things  if you have the following characteristics, then you are probably in love.

-The person you think you are in love with makes you feel special and good about yourself.
-While its normal to feel a little jealous, the feeling always subsides because you have faith that your partner would never hurt you.
-You can show your true feelings when you are together, even if there may be conflict, because whether theres conflict or not you know it will be alright afterwards.
-Your partner would never force you to choose between your family/friends or them.
-You nor your partner never need to challenge your feelings for each other, because you both know you feel the same way.
-You can be yourself around your partner and just let loose.

It would be extremely difficult to have a full list since everyone is unique, but generally those who have fallen in love have these characterisitics.
